SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Under the direction of the Municipal Judge, this position’s primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing courtroom security and managing courtroom operations under the supervision of the Chief Bailiff. A deputy bailiff will assist and coordinate the administration and operations of court functions. Other duties include data entry, files and record management, and serving of warrants, levies, evictions, and other court-related notices as required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this position successfully. Because a primary function of a deputy bailiff is security and may involve physical contact, bailiffs must be physically able to meet the demands of the job, including, but not limited to, the ability to stand or walk at least eight (8) hours per day and the ability to push, pull, or lift at least thirty (30) pounds at any given time.
