The City of Chillicothe Civil Service Commission is accepting EXTERNAL applications to establish an eligibility list for the following position:

WASTEWATER SUPERVISOR
UTILITIES DEPARTMENT

Salary Range: $54,000 - $61,000

NATURE OF WORK:

• Supervising the work of all wastewater treatment plant personnel engaged in wastewater treatment plant operations, wastewater treatment plant maintenance, land application of sludge, pretreatment program and wastewater quality laboratory testing.
• Administering the policies and procedures set forth by the City of Chillicothe in regard to subordinate personnel, the wastewater treatment plant facility and equipment and any and all related matters.
• By personal observation, assuring that subordinates follow all OEPA standards in regard to wastewater treatment plant operations, plant equipment, laboratory testing and pretreatment.
• Preparing and filing required reports as the person held responsible by the OEPA for this public wastewater supply system.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and insurability under the City’s fleet coverage as required.
• Class III OEPA Wastewater Operator’s Certificate.
• Five years’ experience in operating a wastewater treatment plant.
• Must pass a drug and alcohol test by a doctor and medical laboratory designated by and paid for by the City of

Chillicothe.

• Courses in wastewater treatment, management, safety and any other related subjects as required.
