JOB SUMMARY
The Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with City regulations related to: zoning, signage, property maintenance, building codes, business licenses, nuisances, as well as litter and soil erosion control. Code Enforcement work is completed independently, with limited instruction or assistance. and applies This position requires well developed program knowledge, and sound judgment and initiative. The Code Enforcement Officer conducts investigations regarding various codes, ordinances and policies of the City. The incumbent refers complaints and requests to other agencies as appropriate and performs routine field investigations as assigned. Appearance at Municipal Court for Code Enforcement related citations is also required.
