The Position:

Since 1987, Carlsbad has been home to TGIF Concerts in the Parks. Originally called "Jazz in the Parks," TGIF has grown into a highly anticipated and beloved concert series. For nine weeks, in June, July & August, FREE community concerts attract approximately 3,000 - 4000 friends, families and neighbors to listen to music in city parks. TGIF bares the distinction of being one of the oldest, on-going, municipally run events in San Diego County. In 2023, TGIF was voted the number-four best summer concerts series in the nation, as voted on in a USA TODAY readers' poll.

Under the direction of the Cultural Arts Programs & Venue Coordinator and Cultural Arts administrative staff, successful candidates will work as part of a team to turn community park baseball fields into concerts venues, and back again in one day, for nine consecutive Fridays from June 21 to August 16, 2024.
