SEASONAL LABORERS

The City of Carlsbad is accepting applications for full time Seasonal Laborer position in the Golf Course Department. Must be at least 16 years old, possess a valid New Mexico driver's license and be able to work between the hours of 6:00 am and 4:00 pm. Must have an excellent work history to include dependability and stability. Starting hourly rate of pay will be $14.98.

Mows lawns, trims plants and shrubs, and prunes bushes and trees.

Physically moves large quantities of dirt and turf.

Assists equipment operators in a variety of work settings to ensure safe and efficient completion of assigned projects.

Operates equipment such as riding lawn mowers, weed-eaters, and pickup trucks.

Performs manual labor requiring extensive physical exertion and prolonged exposure to the environment.

Ability to receive and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to lift objects weighing 75 lbs. or more. Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.

Skill in the use of a variety of hand and power tools.
