City of Bullhead City is Hiring a MARKETPLACE PARK ATTENDANT Near Bullhead, AZ

OPEN UNTIL FILLED

This position may consist of performing duties associated with various activities, special events and programs of the City’s Marketplace Division to primarily include Community Park operations by manning parking stations and collecting payments, including The Shop (seasonal convenience store), and Ramada Rentals. Responsibilities may include operating golf carts or UTV’s, manning parking stations and collecting payments, cashiering, inventory, stocking, special event setup and tear down, etc.

This is a part time position that will work no more than 29 hours per week. Schedule may consist of early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.

NOTE: First application review will take place 2 weeks after the posting date, additional applications will only be reviewed if necessary to obtain a sufficient applicant pool.   

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

High School Diploma or GED and one (1) year of related professional experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

 LICENSING & TRAINING:

  • Valid Driver's License

*Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform accountability tasks associated with cash flow and correct calculations for appropriate reports.
  • Maintains inventory of food, supplies and equipment while conducting assigned programs and operate facilities. 
  • Issues equipment and supplies to activity participants or groups.
  • Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of facilities and equipment.
  • Enforces safety rules and regulations in a fair and consistent manne 
  • Performs operations manning parking stations and collecting payments. 
  • Accurately and promptly fill out accident/incident reports.
  • Answer routine questions regarding facility usage.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Computer skills and knowledge of basic computer programs
  • Proper care and use of equipment
  • Simple recordkeeping
  • Accurate cashiering and mathematical skills

ABILITY TO:

  • To work cohesively with City employees, children and adults (general public)
  • Conducting and overseeing various programs of Marketplace activities.
  • Keep appropriate records
  • Express ideas orally and in writing while promoting exceptional customer service.

SKILL IN: 

  • Point of Sales (POS) operation and recordkeeping
  • Appropriate and effective customer service 
  • Public Relations and Special Events
  • Mathematical skills.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a variety of weather conditions, including extremely hot weather with temperatures reaching 118º-120º during summer months. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud when outdoors at events.
