Job duties may include field dragging, chalking and painting field lines, pitcher’s mound and home plate repair, light trash collection, bathroom cleaning, equipment maintenance, and other duties as assigned.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
General Maintenance Responsibilities Performs park maintenance which includes mowing grass, weed trimming, raking leaves, picking up brush and branches. Maintains athletic activity areas through general field maintenance including pre-game field preparations. Infield dragging, base placement, chalking/painting of lines, home plate and mound repairs.Maintains park fences, dugouts, bleachers, sidewalks, restrooms and general repairs. Ensures that all parks and fields are kept neat and orderly by picking up garbage and replacing garbage bags in the receptacles.Performs daily maintenance of machines, including washing and greasing of mowers, trailers, trucks. Performs building maintenance work, painting and repair of permanent structures. Performs Other Essential Job Responsibilities Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as apparent or assigned.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to perform moderately difficult manual labor, including ability to lift heavy objects, to climb heights, and perform other duties associated with the job. Working ability to run small engine equipment such as lawn mowers, weed whips, blowers, and other equipment as necessary.Responsible work attitude, as well as reliable, organized work habits.Working ability to understand and follow directions.Working ability to communicate effectively with the public and enforce the park rules.Knowledge of routine field maintenance procedures.
