DEFINITION
Responsible for a variety of tasks associated with the maintenance and operation of the aquatic environment with a strong focus in customer service, lifeguard direction, and pump room mechanics. This position must work well independently and with teams while providing excellent customer service, which supports the City of Brighton's mission and values.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Works under the supervision of the Aquatics Coordinator and Pool Manager. The Assistant Pool Manager supervises seasonal lifeguard staff and volunteers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from high school or equivalent required. Previous experience with administrative and/or supervisory skills in the aquatic environment, as well as familiarity with participating in and supervising swimming pool operations. Minimum of two (2) years' experience managing aquatic staff.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Possession of a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
Current American Red Cross LGI, WSI, Certified Pool Operator or Aquatics Facility Operator highly desired.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
