Works under the general direction of the Accounting Manager providing assistance with special projects and routine finance and accounting type duties involving the City's financial system and related financial analysis.
Temporary Internship position - $12.00 per hours - 24 hours per week or less for a total of 12 weeks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The ideal candidate must be enrolled in an accredited university. Preference will be given to individuals pursuing a degree in Accounting.
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles; Governmental Accounting Standards Board pronouncements and standards; management principles; budgeting principles and procedures; automated payroll systems; computers; and standard office practices and procedures.
Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; proficient in oral and written communication; conducting research and preparing reports with correspondence; ability to exercise discretion and judgment when dealing with confidential information; provide exceptional customer services in person, by phone, and by email; and standard office practices and procedures.
Valid Texas driver's license.
