Adaptive Sports Equipment Assistant:

• Assists with the Annual Idaho Youth Adaptive Sports Camp which takes place June 19-22, 2024. 
• This position will be responsible for setting up and taking down equipment for each program during the four-day camp, as well as being available to work a few days before the camp to set up.
• This position is open to any interested persons aged 15 or older.
• Employees aged 16 and older may be required to work more than 8 hours per day.
• This position is designated as At-Will.

Tentative Schedule (times may vary slightly)
Tuesday: Setup canopies, move equipment to Fort Boise from St. Luke's and the Compound, and go over the schedule for camp (2-3 hours)
Wednesday: Day 1 of Camp 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (1/2 hour lunch)
Thursday: Day 2 of Camp 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (1/2 hour lunch)
Friday: Day 3 of Camp 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (1/2 hour lunch)
Saturday: Day 4 of Camp 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (1/2 hour lunch)Lifts and maneuvers equipment for each program that takes place during the camp. This includes but is not limited to setting up and taking down: canopies, tables, chairs, etc. Getting sports programs ready with supplies including tennis racquets, heavy and bulky accessible ramps, basketball equipment, etc. Physically moving sports wheelchairs from a storage area to the gym before and after each practice. Performs light cleaning as needed after programs including spot mopping floors, cleaning tables, and putting away supplies and equipment. Ensures the safety and well-being of participants. Makes sure equipment and supplies are in good working order and notifies supervisor when items need repair or replacement.
Performs other duties as assigned. Physical Efforts 
While performing the duties of this job the employee is always lifting/carrying up to 35 lbs and frequently lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. Also the employee is always pushing/pulling up to 35 lbs and rarely pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. The noise level is always moderate. Work includes sensory ability to talk, hear, touch and feel. Work in this position also includes close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Employees will walk, run, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach and grasp. Additional physical efforts include: pushing wheelchairs and setting up equipment. 
Work Environment
The work environment will include outdoor weather conditions, in hot, sunny, wet, and humid conditions.
