The Public Works Maintenance Superintendent is an integral part of the entire City. The incumbent is fully responsible for the overall management and operations of the Maintenance Division of the Public Works Department, including streets, storm drains, utility maintenance, and equipment services.
We are seeking a self-motivated, dependable, and seasoned Public Works Maintenance Superintendent to help plan, organize, and manage the maintenance and repair of the City's streets, storm drains, water distribution and wastewater collection facilities, and citywide equipment and vehicle fleet.

Under the direction of the Public Works Director or designee, the Public Works Maintenance Superintendent plans, organizes, directs and reviews all programs related to the maintenance of streets, storm drains, wastewater collection and water distribution facilities and the maintenance and repair of City vehicles and equipment; performs related work as required. May also supervise staff assigned to maintain City parks and facilities.
The incumbent in this position must possess thorough knowledge and practical experience in the methods, practices and equipment used in the maintenance of streets, storm drains, wastewater and water facilities and vehicle and equipment repair. This is a mid-management level position with full responsibility for the overall management and operations of the Maintenance Division of the Public Works Department, including street and utility maintenance and equipment services. This position reports to the Public Works Director or designee on the overall management and operations of the Division and responds to direction from the Public Works Director or designee on specific programs and functions. This position supervises the Field Utilities and Street Supervisor, the Senior Mechanic, and the Senior Administrative Clerk for the Maintenance Division.
