The City of Beloit has an exciting professional opportunity available and is currently accepting applications for the position of Water Utility Supervisor in the Water Resources Division of the Public Works Department.
The Water Utility Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and reviewing the daily operations and maintenance of the Beloit Water Utility. This position creates, implements, and monitors work plans through regular review and assignment of work orders, inspections, and request for services from customers. Also responsible for coordinating Digger's Hotline field locates for all City owned underground infrastructure. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1. A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
2. A Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred.
3. Two-year Associates degree from an accredited college in environmental sciences, engineering, water treatment and/or utility operation.
4. Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Waterworks Operator Certification Grade 1 – Subclasses D and G or the ability to obtain said grade within 1 year of hire.
5. Five (5) years of water utility and three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred.
6. Experience with the installation and repair of underground water distribution, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer infrastructure is preferred.
7. Other combinations of training and/or experience which can be demonstrated to result in the possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position will also be considered.
