Summer Seasonal: June through August (variable hours; approximately 10-15 hours/week)
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Essential Duties& ResponsibilitiesCoordinates playground activities at park/school sites Safety and direct supervision of youth program participants ranging in age from 6-13Promotes playground activitiesSupervises playground outings/special events/field tripsAssists in the planning of playground activities/special eventsCompletes necessary paperwork (attendance forms, accident reports, etc.)Supervises and interacts with participants while leading age appropriate activitiesMaintains a safe play environmentMaintains inventory of supplies and equipmentCommunicates clearly and effectively with parents, participants, and Park and Recreation staffTeaches sports, games, and craftsResponsible for camper safety, well-being, and rule enforcementFollows camp rules and enforces fair and consistent discipline according to policiesPromptly reports issues/concerns to Camp Supervisor and/or Recreation CoordinatorWorks closely with the Parks & Recreation Department staff and volunteers to ensure all department rules and policies are observed
