Work involves a wide range of manual duties associated with collection of curbside residential and commercial garbage including weeds and brush.
Will use various hand tools to rake and move materials such as tree limbs, shrubs, etc. Will drive various light equipment such as pickup trucks and one ton single axle dump trucks.
Flags traffic around work site. Other duties as assigned. Valid class D driver’s license is required and to remain valid as a condition of continued employment.
High school diploma or GED. Three to six months experience performing heavy manual labor in construction, garbage collection, and maintenance or repair activities.
Working knowledge of operating procedures for various light equipment. Ability to read and understand operation manuals.
Knowledge of standard safety practices. Ability to follow oral / written instructions, ability to communicate with others, ability to drive standard shift vehicles, physical ability to perform essential job duties.
Will work in a non-smoking environment.
