SUPERVISOR: Aquatic Manager/Aquatic Specialist/Swim Coordinator

SALARY: Starting Salary varies depending on certifications held $10.30 - $16.00

LOCATION: The Pointe, #1 Ballwin Commons Circle, Ballwin, MO 63021 and North Pointe Aquatic Center, 335 Holloway Rd, Ballwin, MO, 63011

JOB SUMMARY: To ensure the good will of swim lesson participants by maintaining a safe aquatic atmosphere.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Report directly to the Aquatic Manager, Aquatic Specialist, and Swim Coordinator. ● Provide a safe aquatic environment for swim lesson participants.
• Responsible for enforcing rules and regulations governing the conduct of pool patrons. ● Follow the American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED established emergency action plan procedures developed by the department in the event of an emergency. ● Maintenance and cleaning swim lesson equipment.
• Project a professional and healthy image through dress, behavior, and attitude. ● Respond to all patron needs in a courteous manner and report comments/complaints to the manager on duty.
• Attend mandatory curriculum training and meetings during each season. ● Teach American Red Cross based swimming lessons.
• Assist with the City of Ballwin Parks & Recreation programs and events as needed. ● Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Must be able to lift 25 lbs. objects.
• Maintain a professional and mature attitude toward responsibilities, fellow staff and patrons.
• Work effectively with supervisors, co-workers and the public.
• Must be able to work Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 4:15p-6:45p as well as Saturday mornings 9:15a-11:45a.
• Must be able to work Monday- Thursday (Make ups on Fridays) from 9:30-11:15AM in June, July, and August

UNIFORM & EQUIPMENT USED TO PERFORM THE JOB:

Swim suit, sunglasses, hat/visor, sunscreen, resuscitation mask, automated external defibrillator and cleaning supplies.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Must be a minimum of 14 years of age.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor or Water Safety Instructor Aid Certification required. Training Available
• American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED. Training Available
