The committee will provide a forum for citizens with an interest in or knowledge of bicycling and/or pedestrian issues to review local, regional, and national bicycle and pedestrian needs and/or trends and provide feedback, comments, and/or recommendations to the appropriate departments on bicycle and pedestrian planning, infrastructure, safety, education, engineering, enforcement, and encouragement. The committee will also serve as liaison between community and City of Appleton on bicycle and pedestrian issues and advocate for the advancement of bicycle and pedestrian programs, activities, and facilities.
Committee should include 9 members who represent a variety of interests, including:

• Active bicyclist (Minimum-2, maximum-4)
• Active community member (Minimum-1, Maximum-2)
• Business owner with bicycle/pedestrian focus (Minimum-1, Maximum-2)
• Active fitness/health care professional (Minimum-1, Maximum-2)
• Appleton Area School District representative
• Fox Cities Greenways representative
• Alderperson (1)

Members will be residents of/property owners in the City of Appleton.
Term: 3 years (December 2023 - December 2026)
Seats to Fill: 

• Active bicyclist 
• Active fitness/health care professional 

Meetings: The Committee will meet a minimum of 4 times/year.
