City Home is seeking an experienced Warehouse associate for our retail furniture store. Our Warehouse team is responsible for receiving and managing inventory, moving furniture, assembling furniture, packing items to be shipped or delivered, and assisting the visual merchandiser with tasks such as hanging art, placing/moving furniture in room settings.

Potential candidates should be self-motivated and organized.

Responsibilities:

• Unload trucks, Receive and assemble furniture shipments.
• Quality check all incoming inventory and outgoing purchases.
• Assist our sales team and floor merchandisers by moving furniture and hanging lighting and art as necessary.
• Help customers safely load furniture into their vehicles.
• Safely pack items to be shipped.
• Help our team open and close the store.

Required skills and experience:

• Ability to move and/or lift 75 pounds.
• Valid drivers license
• MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK MONDAY, TUESDAY, & WEDNESDAY
• Previous warehouse and/or shipping & receiving experience a must.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to follow instructions, work independently, and in groups.
• Must know how to safely lift and move delicate furniture.
• Basic hand tool and power tool knowledge.
• Drive box van to our delivery company and/or for stock transfers to our storage units
• Previous experience / knowledge operating equipment including a pallet-jack and dollies
• Customer service experience.
• Basic furniture knowledge.
