Salary Range: $81,153 to $95,236

Job Location: During training, you may be required to work up to 3 days per week in our Wilsonville Office. Other days may be worked remotely from your Oregon residence. After the training period, the number of required days in the office can be reduced.

General Position Summary: 
Can you picture yourself in this position? Responsible for development, maintenance, troubleshooting and enhancement of our web-based .NET applications, Internet, and intranet websites for CIS. This includes implementation and maintenance of the database and API systems used by CIS websites and third-party web/desktop applications. Lead various technical projects to create or enhance both internal and external applications. Provide backup support for all servers, workstations, and networks at our main office and various remote locations throughout Oregon.

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for development, maintenance, troubleshooting and enhancement of our web-based .NET applications, Internet, and intranet websites for CIS. This includes implementation and maintenance of the database and API systems used by CIS websites and third-party web/desktop applications. Lead various technical projects to create or enhance both internal and external applications. Provide backup support for all servers, workstations, and networks at our main office and various remote locations throughout Oregon.

The following information may not be all-inclusive:
 
  • Design, develop and maintain all websites and intranet sites owned by CIS. Including, posting static company information on the corporate website, creating database-driven forms for internal and external use, displaying information from various databases.
  • Create, modify, and maintain SQL databases, including, but not limited to, creating tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and ORMs.
  • Ensure a consistent look and feel across the websites by promoting uniform fonts, formatting, icons, images, and layout, and creating appropriate templates to assist content authors.
  • Establish and validate industry proven architecture for web-based application development.
  • Ensure websites and applications work on mobile devices.
  • Consume and build RESTful APIs.
  • Consume 3rd party SOAP APIs.
  • Work with third party applications and implement integration points where applicable.
  • Lead various technical projects to create or enhance both internal and external applications.
  • Perform administration functions related to the maintenance and operability of web and application servers, both self-hosted and in remote/cloud environments” to better reflect our current environments (IIS/nginx/Docker/Azure App Services).
  • Provide backup support to MSP to troubleshoot desktop and server issues within the organization.
  • Develops action plans and processes, in coordination with management team, for integrating activities and optimizing department resources to meet major goals and objectives.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, identify areas for improvement of existing processes, and address issues with innovative solutions.
  • Facilitates or performs application support, problem solving, and issue resolution with internal and external resources.
  • Contributes and reviews recommendations for technical solutions.
  • Create written documentation of processes.
  • Create written articles for the CIS internal blog educating non-technical staff on technical subjects.
  • Willingness to continue to learn new technologies as they become available.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, CERTIFICATES, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Education and experience requirements listed are minimum standards. Other equivalent combinations of education, certifications, training, and experience may be considered.
 
Education: Associate degree
 
Knowledge: Knowledge of web and database development, desktop troubleshooting, network security, object-oriented programming, and procedural programming.
 
A strong knowledge of web scripting languages and database programming, such as, T-SQL, .NET, C#, MVC, Blazor, SQL Server, SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vue, Knockout, jQuery, Angular, and Visual Studio.
 
Strong knowledge of desktop support in a networked environment, Microsoft operating systems and office application support.
 
Certificates: None.

Licenses: None.

Experience: More than 7 years’ experience.

Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining database-driven websites, administering databases, and supporting desktop users in a networked environment.

Work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment.
 
WORK SCHEDULE:
CIS has a 37.5-hour workweek. Unless otherwise approved by the Department Manager and Supervisor, the typical schedule is Monday – Friday falling between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
 
Rarely work outside of typical office hours, as necessary.
 
The home office for this position is CIS’ main office. At the discretion of the Executive Director, the home office may be designated as another office.
 
This position includes occasional travel to meetings, training, conferences, staff events and CIS’ Annual Conference; may include two – three nights of overnight travel.
