Provides a variety of customer savings, checking and credit account transactions, as well as other customer services

Job Requirements

·High school diploma or equivalent

·One to two years experience as a teller at CNB

·Good interpersonal communication and computer skills

·Supervises teller staff

·Responsible for comprehensive, prompt and efficient customer transactions

·Receives checks and cash for deposits to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement

·Cashes checks and processes withdrawals; pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances

·Promotes and explains other bank services. Cross-sells bank services such as safe deposit boxes, credit cards, etc.

·Receives consumer loan and other payments from customers ensuring that bank criteria for accepting such payments are met

·Places holds on accounts for uncollected funds, when applicable

·Issues money orders, stop payments and cash U.S. Savings Bonds

·Approve transactions to Authority Limit

·Balances cash drawer at the end of the shift and reports any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary

·Reports malfunctions of teller terminals and other equipment used at the teller station

·Is responsible for checking night depository bags and recording proper information on the bank’s forms

·Operates within compliance rules and standards

·Provides on-the-job training for tellers on an as-needed basis

·Monitors tellers to ensure compliance with bank procedures and policies. Issues written and oral instructions on teller operations as necessary

·Ensures records to be current and correct (Logs and journals maintained in teller area)

·Assists tellers in locating cash discrepancies

·Manages more complicated window transactions and answers difficult customer questions

·Ensures that the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.

·Verifies money received or sent for deposit in the bank’s vault

·Balances the vault on a daily basis and maintains cash limits

·Ensures branch to be in compliance with security policy

·Ensure operation of ATM including Balancing and operation

·Performs other duties as required
