Function
A maintenance mechanic is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of our office buildings and equipment to assure the optimal efficiency, professional appearance, and safety for our employees and customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
·Performs general maintenance and repair work, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry, on equipment and the Credit Union’s general facilities and properties
Performs other maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs, painting, moving, and arranging the training or conference rooms for meetings, assembling furniture, office set-ups, snow removal and maintenance of landscape.
·Operate Citadel’s maintenance vehicles safely and lawfully at all times.
·Promptly and efficiently respond to work orders.
·Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
·Operates a motor vehicle to transport equipment and other materials to branch locations and other properties owned by the credit union.
·Acts as back up for mailroom/supply coordinator as directed.
·Required to be available/on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to handle emergency situations.
·May be required to deliver or pick up various items at credit union facilities.
·Must keep work area clean and free of clutter.
·Will assist Manager as needed.

Work Environment
While performing duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and risk of electrical shock.The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and vibration.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but occasionally loud.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift in excess of 80 lbs., bend, stoop, and stand for long periods of time.Mobility between buildings, climbing stairs and ladders are essential.Ability to withstand unpleasant work conditions.
