Citadel Completions is Hiring an Assistant Aircraft Maintenance Planner Near Charles, LA

Purpose The Assistant Maintenance Planner assists the Manager of Planning in various tasks, primarily with putting work packages together and data entry. Other areas this role will assist the Manager of Planning is in reviewing customer requirements, compiling information for bid estimates. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Assists in planning and scheduling maintenance work packages by verifying the labor then relaying the accurate information to the Manager of Planning.
  • Compile necessary information for the Manager of Planning to Plan maintenance workloads and for the preparation of work packages for Operations.
  • Assist and provide administrative support to the Manager of Planning with any other business activities as needed.
  • Maintain professional behavior, integrity, commitment to the company and compliance with its policies.
  • Lend the highest quality and timely service, performance, being safety minded, with the objective of being an important part of a team whose goal is to consistently exceed customer satisfaction in the most efficient manner for the re-delivery of airworthy, reliable, and clean aircraft, in a timely manner.
  • Create, edit, maintain documented information in Excel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities 

 This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. 

 Reporting Relationship 

 Reports to the Manager of Planning with a dotted line to the Sr. Director of Planning.

    • Engineering
    • Finance
    • Customer Representatives 

Qualifications

REQUIRED 

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Must be proficient in Excel.

DESIRED

  • Detailed oriented.
  • Aircraft Industry related experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Technical/College courses related to the Aircraft Industry.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Attributes 

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of staff from different departments effectively. 
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills to prioritize workload according to business demands and works well under pressure. 
  • Proven ability to achieve goals.
  • Follows through and meets deadlines; strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills; strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Speaks clearly, persuasively and in a positive manner in all situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; participates in meetings.
  • Exhibits confidence in self and to others.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ensures that regular consistent communication takes place with the Manager of Planning and as needed with all whom have a need to know for efficiency purposes.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member, depending upon need.
  • Responsible, dependable and a quick learner. Adaptable to new technologies.

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.

  • Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.
  • Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace.
  • The work surface is stable (flat).
