As part of the Global Sales Specialist organisation for the Mass Infrastructure Group the global automation specialist team is looking for an accomplished leader of Sales to ensure achievement of the global MIG automation sales group's goals within the Americas region.
The sales specialist will have a mix of direct selling responsibility in Cisco's largest key accounts and supporting the larger Cisco sales organization in their go-to market approach, while handling sales plans and implementing key account strategies for assigned responsibilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will address all aspects of growing the business for the existing Automation portfolio and future M&A additions within existing customers and other prospective accounts;
You are an authority at maintaining executive relationships and engagement at SVP and strategic level across all areas of business, operations, IT, and Engineering.
Leadership abilitiy to orchestrate pre-sales, post sales, R&D and product teams within the larger Cisco direct selling teams as well as other geographical specialist organizations.
Deep technical knowledge of automation, IP, Optical, orchestration and customers operational and IT environment.
You have the Ability to quickly develop customer focused solutions understanding existing ecosystem and landscape.
Commercial competence to develop commercial models that enable balanced long-term business in a consumable manner.
REQUIREMENTS:
You have at least 8 years of experience in sales, focusing on the Americas Service Provider and/or large Enterprise market, with good connections into key customer accounts.
Understanding Networks, knowledge of Optical, IP routing, both at a technical as well as operational level.
Previous experience with software vendors in the OSS/BSS space.
Previous connections with major vendors is an advantage (Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, Infinera, Coriant, Nokia)
Excellent interpersonal skills, strong negotiation skills, and client management skills.
Proven track record to interact at the executive and all levels within customers' organizations.
- Ability to form and implement an effective sales pipeline.
- Independent and able to work from home.
- Extensive travel is required for this role/
