Full Job Description

Title: Edibles Production Technician

Manager: CIO/ Director of Operations

Overview: The Edibles Production Technician will assist with the manufacturing process of gummy edible products. The Edibles Production Technician will assist with the production of high-quality cannabis edibles along with cleaning and maintaining food grade processing equipment, recording, and entering data in multiple forms, and associated tasks delegated by management. The Edibles Production Technician will be responsible for consistent, sanitary, and safe production of edibles adhering to company policies, and GMP to successfully uphold quality control and consistent product production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Edibles Production Technician will perform critical tasks to ensure that the company’s regulated cannabis infused products are produced in a timely, high quality, and compliant manner.

The person in this role needs to have strong attention to detail, follow direction well, maintain consistency across large volumes of products, and be an adaptable team player

Operate, clean, and maintain all equipment and kitchen area

Complete production orders with consistency and quality while maintaining reasonable speed Keep accurate records at all steps to maintain quality and control of regulated product Awareness and adherence to GMP, Food Safety, and QA regulations

Strict adherence to department SOPs and recipes Maintain proper PPE and hygiene

Implementation of new systems and processes related to edibles products

Requires the ability to sit or stand for 10 hours per day and requires consistent hand eye coordination and excellent hand dexterity

Must be able to bend, lift and stoop continuously

Works in other areas of the facility, performing tasks outside of the scope of the primary job functions as needed Complete all required training

Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency Must follow all company policies and procedures

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or G.E.D minimum

At least one year of manufacturing and packaging experience with a focus on ensuring product safety, consumer safety and satisfaction, and high product quality

Knowledge of FDA, GMP’s, HACCP, OSHA, etc. is a plus

Ability to wear PPE (personal protective equipment)- bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), protective gloves, safety glasses, slip resistant work shoes/boots and any other safety equipment as required

Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning Effective communication skills and attention to detail

Strong work ethic

Willingness to learn and improve each operation

Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment

High stress tolerance, adaptable, ability to work in an ever-changing environment, flexible Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time

Ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Must have reliable transportation

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

Work involves daily exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures (hot and cold), humidity, darkness, and noise.

Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards.

Ability to wear PPE (personal protective equipment) such as hair net, earplugs, beard net (if applicable), protective gloves, safety harness, safety glasses and slip resistant work shoes/boots. Personal protective equipment, as defined by Cirona Labs, will be provided.

Position requires the ability to stand; sit at a desk; walk around office and facility; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting. Also requires the ability to see; hear; and communicate by utilizing professional etiquette with all levels of associates and with external vendors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
