POSITION DESCRIPTION The Court Research Analyst works with the Office of the Court Administrator, judicial officers, and other courthouse personnel to serve as the research professional who conducts analyses of court programs to support court administration decision-making; facilitate policy evaluation; improve court performance; promote the efficient and effective use of court resources; and increase the court's accountability. The research analyst functions as an in-house but independent observer of court processes to provide neutral analysis. The position will also assist the court in creating and implementing new programs and technology.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college is required; with a minimum of three (3) years of related work experience, which includes statistical research and methodology. Master’s degree in social science research, public policy, judicial administration, or a related field may substitute for work experience. Knowledge of court processes is highly preferred. Experience in a court or other law-related setting as well as knowledge of legal terminology is strongly preferred with an aptitude for learning software programs related to various court administration, case management, and grant functions.
