Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Programmer Analyst to join our IT Fuel team in Global Tech for North America. As a Senior Programmer Analyst, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting in-house software solutions and seamlessly integrating with commercial fuel pricing and accounting products. You will utilize your expertise in programming, analysis, and problem-solving to drive innovation, automation, scalability, and efficiency. We are looking for an individual who is a strong collaborator with our IT Fuel support team, other IT teams, and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities:

• In charge of design, development, testing, and implementation of various technical solutions.
• Perform thorough testing and debugging of software applications to ensure high quality and reliability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior or IT Fuel support team members.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, notify of outages, and ensure alignment with project goals and product/application SLA.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Architect and author robust, scalable, and maintainable software applications using best practices and modern technologies.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to improve our existing solutions and new projects.
• Follow established ITSM methodology and governance procedures for incident and change management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

10 years of experience in software development, with a focus on analysis, design, and programming.

In-depth expertise in C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, REST API, .NET Core 6 or 8, SSRS, and SSIS.

Strong understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented design.

Expert level proficiency with relational databases and SQL especially SQL Server databases.

Hands-on experience with development tools and modern technologies such as Azure DevOps, Git, and Azure or AWS Cloud.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and analytically.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills and work effectively in a team environment.

Proven technical skills and ability to mentor and coach team members.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.

Fuel or accounting knowledge in retail is a plus.
