NOC Technician Tier I (Hybrid)

EDUCATION: 2 years higher education/industry standard technology certifications

EXPERIENCE: 2 years preferred

Shift: Overnight - Saturday-Wednesday 11pm-9am (4x10)

Who We Are Looking For

CCR is a specialized network operations center that is responsible for day to day operations of large enterprise clients.

We are searching for a highly-motivated and dedicated technician who brings a high degree of applied technical knowledge and practical experience to resolve complex issues. This role will be responsible for resolving incoming tickets, proactively discovering trends or issues impacting our clients.

Excellent communication skills are expected as this role will require the ability to translate technical issues for both technical and non-technical audiences.

What You’ll Accomplish and Experience

• Responding to internal and external alerts and requests while engaging with clients and vendors when required
• Troubleshoot a variety of incidents and complete repair in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring minimal reoccurrence of the problem and avoid rework.
• Follow appropriate workflow and time management while maintaining customer focus in all activities while providing high quality customer service.
• Research, document and resolve issues to support business solutions and maintain SLA.
• Maintain ownership and follow through on all customer issues until those issues are resolved, escalating when needed.
• Life-long learning who remains current with changing technology as it relates to network solutions.
• Apply a strong level of business acumen to projects and solutions.

Desirable Previous Experience

• CompTIA Security , Network certification or comparable operational skills required.
• Experience in a Network Operations Center monitoring mission critical applications and services.
• Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP including IP Addressing and sub-netting, network connectivity, LAN and WAN architectures, etc.
• Strong experience supporting network infrastructure and troubleshooting
• Strong customer service and communication skills required
• Operational understanding of switching and routing architectures required
• Operational understanding of IPSec, STP, PPTP, L2TP, SSL, MPLS
• Operational understanding of BGP, OSPF, GRE, IS-IS, EIGRP routing protocols
• Operational understanding of 802.1q and VLAN trunking, and QOS
• Operational understanding of high availability and redundancy, including VRRP and HSRP
• Mikrotik MTCNA or Cisco CCENT or CCNA certification, or similar routing certification or comparable operational skills preferred.
• Basic understanding of projects and project management.
• Operational understanding and skills with support and troubleshooting.
• VMWare certifications, including VSphere, or comparable skills are strongly recommended
