DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
- Daily set up of equipment for operation.
- Operate equipment according to SOPs.
- Conduct routine rounds and operations tasks including logging information for EHS requirements.
- Monitor all equipment controlled by the PLC (Shredding and milling, utilities, wastewater, distillation, distillation unloading, and other plant systems).
- Monitor and record any deviations of operating parameters or any environmental non-compliances.
- Work with team members to communicate assistance and additional resources to the supervisor.
- Monitor and make adjustments to equipment when necessary to improve performance.
- Comply with all environmental, health and safety regulations.
- Clean Equipment and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Frequently lift 10-40 pounds individually, and over 40 pounds with a team member.
- Forklift experience.
- Knowledge of machinery and tools.
- Understanding of operating procedures.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Attention to detail.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- Able to learn to operate an HMI screen with PLC controls.
- Lockout/Tagout experience.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GEDPLC
- Experience
- 2 years Control Room Operator Experience
