JOB SUMMARY

The Executive General Manager is responsible for two or more locations. The Executive GM has general management responsibilities of an assigned location and oversees operations and mentors all assigned locations' managers. Under their leadership and guidance, they will help cultivate team environments that provide exceptional customer service while ensuring all staff members perform at a consistently high level. The Executive General Manager will oversee all aspects of theater operations, including entertainment, food, beverage, equipment, and Facility. They facilitate the fulfillment of theater goals and company initiatives. Provides leadership and vision to the staff to support the Company's mission and values.

JOB DUTIES

  • Reviews weekly/monthly P&L statements, works with management teams and develops action plans to grow revenue and control expenses that meet or exceed annual budgets. Develops and implements creative strategies to increase revenue.
  • Effectively manages the operations of multiple locations. Schedules, plans, and organizes work and communicates goals. Ensures staff compliance of standards and procedures, identifies opportunities for improvement and resolves issues.
  • Conducts weekly (or as-needed) meetings with management teams to review performance and offer direction, motivation, and guidance toward achieving individual and company goals.
  • Hires and supports theater management for all assigned locations and ensures that all locations are trained in guest service, food & beverage operations, film schedule, and relevant Company operating procedures and standards.
  • Manages direct reports to accomplish performance goals. Provides direct reports developmental coaching and guidance for long-term career growth. Trains and conducts planning sessions and performance reviews with direct reports and disciplines when necessary.
  • Provides mentorship and training to provide consistent and superior food & beverage experience. Ensures all alcoholic beverage servers are properly trained and that the theater complies with local alcohol regulations.
  • Addresses employee relations issues by collaborating with the appropriate operations and human resources staff. Maintains an open-door policy and facilitates proper communication.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable occupational, health, and safety regulations and laws. Creates a safe environment and assures the Company's safety policies are followed.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays, as well as extended workdays to support business needs.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assistant General Managers, Manager(s), Kitchen Managers, Service Managers; indirect supervisory responsibility of assigned location management team

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a theater management role as General Manager, supporting and maintaining a high level of success within their theater’s operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Management, or related field or equivalent and a minimum of five years’ general progressive management experience with staff supervision required.
  • Relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.
  • ServSafe, Food handling, Alcohol certification required.

SKILLS

  • Executive General Managers possess a highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills, including high integrity, respect for all individuals (customers, vendors, and employees), solid communication skills, strong critical and analytical thinking skills, and appreciation of diversity (ethnic, gender, thought, etc.).
  • Thorough working knowledge of POS register systems; experience utilizing word-processing, spreadsheets, inventory, internet, and related PC-based systems.
  • Basic business math, accounting skills, and strong analytical/decision-making skills.
  • Executive General Managers must be strong team players and people developers, possess a high level of profit and loss capability, and sales and marketing skills and abilities.
