Position Summary and Purpose: Manage all phases of accounting in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL:
  • Manage all accounting operations including Treasury (cash and debt facilities), Payroll, A/R (including billing), A/P, Prepaids, PP&E, Accruals, Other Liabilities, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
  • Ensure monthly account reconciliations of accounts (including but not limited to cash and inventory, etc.)
  • Assist in preparation of 13 week cash flow
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Safeguard the Assets of the Company by following established internal controls
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances to management
  • Provide financial analysis as needed for capital investments, pricing decisions and overhead spending
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure required debt payments and pension payments are made on timely basis
  • Prepare monthly financial statements in a timely manner to measure the performance of the company operations
  • Research technical issues for compliance
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors as required
  • Manage and comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Hire, train, evaluate and develop accounting staff
  • Responsible for directing the work of other team members
  • Provide accurate data and on time reporting while working closely with CFO and leadership
Education and Experience
REQUIRED:
  • 10 years experience
  • Ability to continually lead and develop accounting team
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to drive efficiency into existing processes, verifying accuracy and relevance of practices and reporting
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Adopt and promote lean practices in all activities, considering the elimination of wasteful resources for any goal other than the creation of value for the end customer
