The Cincinnati Sports Club is looking for individuals wanting to join the Cafe crew this summer! Individuals will not work super late or early hours, Shifts can range within 10:30am-8:30pm. Weekend availability is a must.
A. Reports to:
Market Café Manager
B. Nature of Work:
Manage the food operation that serves the members, guests, and employees of the Cincinnati Sports Club. This operation should provide quality food in a friendly and clean manner while maintaining a profitable operation.
C. Example Of Duties
1. Provide excellent customer service to all members and guests by being friendly, outgoing, and up beat in all interactions
2. Provide quality food in a fast and friendly manner. Staff should be able to provide this service without constant supervision from management.
3. Prep items needed for the day. For example, slicing meats and making Grab and Go items.
4. Proper receiving, storage, and rotation of food as to comply with Health Department Standards.
5. Promote deli sponsored events, which includes summer happy hours, winter happy hours, Tuesday wine tastings, and chef demos during member interactions.
6. Maintain high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety throughout the kitchen at all times. This includes completing daily cleaning duties. Clean as you go.
7. Follow all established controls to minimize food and supply waste
8. Follow all standard recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation, which help to assure consistently high quality and to minimize food costs; exercise portion control for all items served.
9. Undertakes special projects as assigned by Café Manager.
D. Knowledge and Skills
1. Must be able to communicate effectively with members and guests about products we offer.
2. Must have basic math skills.
3. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
4. May need to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
5. Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, and rotate while carrying items up to 40 pounds.\
6. Must be able to accurately ring up sales
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
