*Please note this is not a full time position, and you will receive work as assigned, based on your availability and demand in the area, which fluctuates based on the client and season.*

You will be responsible for conducting site surveys and gathering data to assist in the design and installation of solar systems. This role allows you to set your own availability. It is a great opportunity for those seeking supplemental income with a flexible schedule. You will travel to residential and commercial project sites within a service territory (predetermined by you) to complete survey data collection in support of solar design/installations. You provide the times that work for you, and you will be assigned surveys accordingly. If you are hands-on, enjoy being independent, and exploring new areas - you will be a great fit at Ciellie.

Please read the requirements below before applying:

• Must have drivers license
• Must have FAA Part 107 License, be working on it, or are willing to obtain one
• Must have access to a vehicle to make it to survey assignments
• Must own IR drone with RTK
• Must have laser measuring device
• Must have hard hat/safety vest (or are willing to purchase these)
• Must have flathead screwdriver

Responsibilities

• Operate drone to capture roof and area photos (minimum of 200 jpg images per site) at specified AGL and tilt
• Use ladders as needed to enter into attics or access roofs
• Use hand tools to perform cuts into drywall as needed to measure rafters in inaccessible attics
• Capture photos of the electrical meter, service panels, attic, trusses, roof, exterior of site and additional contextual photos as needed
• Provide accurate measurements of structural elements as requested
• Follow and complete a detailed checklist
• Handle basic interactions with homeowners in a polite & professional manner
• Upload deliverables to shared cloud storage in a timely manner
• Conduct site surveys independently, travel from your own home
• Use an app on your phone for surveys, uploading of photos, and managing of schedule availability
• Provide aerial photo of site with notes and key

Skills & Qualifications

• Written and verbal communication skills in English (Spanish is an asset) in a timely manner
• Construction, handyman, or similar experience is an asset
• Customer service skills (or similar) are an asset
• Strong time management and organization skills
• Mobile phone with internet capability is required to upload images on site
• Consistent access to a mobile phone for communication while performing surveys and on the road
• Must be physically capable of climbing onto roofs, into attics, and up and down stairs as needed
• Reliable access to a vehicle for transportation
