We have offices in Gainesville, Jacksonville and Ocala Florida. In addition, our headquarters in Alachua County supports the operations of our business including marketing, human resources, legal, finance, tax and community relations. Position Summary We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer or Project Administrator to support our growing CEI department. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer, experienced as a PA and/or PE for the Florida Department of Transportation. The candidate will assist in managing our team of field inspectors and project administration staff on highway and bridge construction projects. Responsibilities will consist of monitoring project construction progress while managing multiple CEI projects and marketing upcoming CEI pursuits. The individual should be able to take ownership of CEI projects from start to finish. Additional responsibilities outlined below:
Support the Director of Construction Services in the pursuit, execution, and oversight of CEI
Collaborate with other Project Administration staff to directly coordinate CHW project inspection needs in fulfillment of contract scope
Review inspection Daily Work Reports
Review pay estimates
Manage construction contracts
Provide technical oversite to Field Inspection Staff and facilitate a thorough understanding of construction engineering techniques and FDOT standards
Maintain daily contact with client and contractors
Facilitate and attend construction meetings with contractors, clients, and various other stakeholders
