Job Description : YOUTH MINISTER

YOUTH MINISTER

POSITION PURPOSE : HELP STUDENTS LOVE AND OBEY GOD, BY THE POWER OF HIS SPIRIT FOR THE PRAISE OF HIS GLORY AND HELP THEM HELP OTHERS TO DO THE SAME.

1. Select and oversee presentation of Church at Sandhurst aligned teaching materials and curriculum for youth programs.

2. Recruit and train adults to support the ministry in teaching, discipleship and hospitality.

3. Recruit and train student leaders to assist in ministry activities and outreach.

4. Develop and disseminate material for parents to help them reinforce the teaching curriculum at home.

5. Conduct socially engaging activities to promote friendship and fellowship for participants.

6. Model a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and demonstrate application of Church at Sandhurst goals and mission to students.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & PERFORMANCE METRICS

1. Teach a youth focused Sandhurst U class weekly.

2. Conduct a weekly a youth oriented discipleship and outreach midweek activity weekly.

3. Sta? adult support to ensure at least a 1 adult to student ratio.

4. Connect with student informally on a regular basis.

5. Organize and manage at least 2 community involvement youth service activities annually.

6. Promote student involvement in Church at Sandhurst family activities.

7. Develop and implement at least one evangelical outreach mission annually, youth ministry led but having supplemental involvement by congregation.

8. Select and mentor at least one youth ministry summer intern.

9. Provide or refer youth related counseling as needed to student or parent.

• Promote and provide opportunities for student / youth spiritual gift use in the various events and activities of the youth ministries.
• Annually recommend and manage student ministry budget.
• Attendance at weekly sta? meetings at least % of time.
• Other duties as requested by Lead Pastor.
