Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino is Hiring a Banquet Server Near Coarsegold, CA

SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing dining service to all banquet guests in an efficient, courteous and professional manner displaying a high standard of customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members. Perform excellent customer service at all time.
  • Follows the direction of the Banquet Captain and Catering Manager.
  • Serves menu items to guests in a prompt and courteous manner and according to the banquet event order.
  • Ensures that all food and beverage service for functions are served on time.
  • Maintains compliance with all regulations of health and sanitation standards as well as all applicable federal, state, local laws/ordinances; to include maintaining applicable food safety certification.
  • Times the service of courses to correspond with the dining pace of the guests.
  • Monitors guest needs on a continual basis, ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled.
  • Performs banquet side work as designated by the Banquet Captain.
  • Clears tables after service or event.
  • Performs other duties as assigned which may include assisting with set up and break down of function space.
  • Reports to Banquet Captain or Catering Manager any need for housekeeping and/or repairs of banquet equipment.
  • Performs as a team member with venue Hosts, Supervisors, Food Servers, Bus persons and Kitchen Staff in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation.
  • Maintains a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Performs any reasonable request made by management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED preferred. Previous food server experience preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. Ability to perform the following: handling, carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds, moving about the function areas, bending, stooping and kneeling. Must be able to work nights, weekends and/or holidays.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Team Members of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk or hear. The Team Member is also regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The Team Member is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; and to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

The Team Member is occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
