Job OverviewThe role of the Subject Matter Expert V is to provide specific NIWC technical support for various projects within the Chesapeake Ops environment. Occasional travel required.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties & Job Functions:
- Provides day-to-day ISEA support to NIWC and other activities on multiple projects.
- Provides support to Fleet activities.
- Works with customer in primarily a solitary environment.
- Performs related work as assigned in an unsupervised, reactive/mission critical environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Manage onsite shipboard installation teams.
- Manage changes to project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Promote and maintain communication between the project team and project sponsor, and other relevant stakeholders.
Mandatory:
- Thirteen (13) years' technical experience in military, contracting, or commercial areas.
- Must have one (1) years' experience in electronic systems troubleshooting and repair.
- Ten (10) years of proven shipboard supervisory experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
