The Customer Service Specialist provides information and solutions in response to inquiries pertaining to products, services and/or customer complaints.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

• Accesses databases to retrieve and/or record information such as customer complaints or orders.
• Responds to customer complaints or inquiries.
• Takes orders for products or merchandise.
• Calculates charges and processing billing or payments.
• Processes customer claims, handling returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Keeps records of customer interactions and updates customer account information.
• Receives, comprehends, provides, and responds to routine informational inquiries and service requests through the use of various communication technologies including but not limited to telephones, e-mail, facsimile, postal mail, and the Internet.
• Other duties as assigned.

Mandatory:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications and work management software (i.e. NexGen IT or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of experience in work management process in an operations/maintenance work management environment as well as identifying and coordinating emergency and unscheduled responses within established guidelines.
• Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
• Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
• Valid state Driver's License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
• Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
• Ability to obtain Government credentials that may be required.
