Job OverviewThe Customer Service Specialist provides information and solutions in response to inquiries pertaining to products, services and/or customer complaints.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties & Job Functions:
- Accesses databases to retrieve and/or record information such as customer complaints or orders.
- Responds to customer complaints or inquiries.
- Takes orders for products or merchandise.
- Calculates charges and processing billing or payments.
- Processes customer claims, handling returns, refunds, and exchanges.
- Keeps records of customer interactions and updates customer account information.
- Receives, comprehends, provides, and responds to routine informational inquiries and service requests through the use of various communication technologies including but not limited to telephones, e-mail, facsimile, postal mail, and the Internet.
- Other duties as assigned.
Mandatory:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications and work management software (i.e. NexGen IT or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of experience in work management process in an operations/maintenance work management environment as well as identifying and coordinating emergency and unscheduled responses within established guidelines.
- Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
- Valid state Driver's License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
- Ability to obtain Government credentials that may be required.
