LAUREL, NJMajor Duties and Responsibilities:Cohn Baughman is an insurance and reinsurance coverage law office that is part of the Chubb Group of Insurers. Cohn Baughman specializes in (1) litigating complex insurance coverage matters for affiliates of the Chubb Group of Insurers throughout the U.S. that arise out of environmental, toxic tort, asbestos, product defect, and other sophisticated claims, and (2) arbitrating reinsurance disputes. The firm also provides legal advice and opinions for members of the Chubb Group of Insurers on a myriad of coverage issues. We have an immediate opening in our primary office in Chicago, Illinois, or in our office in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey for an attorney with experience in insurance coverage litigation and/or reinsurance arbitration. Cohn Baughman is longtime fixture of the Chubb Group of Insurers and will soon celebrate its 29^th anniversary.

Cohn Baughman is unique because it allows an attorney to engage in a meaningful and rewarding insurance and/or reinsurance coverage litigation practice without having to focus on the business aspects typical of law firms. You will be part of a hands-on, highly collegial practice that features significant direct collaboration with high-level decisionmakers at the Chubb Group of Insurers. The candidate will be expected to proactively litigate, arbitrate, and negotiate their cases, and to present their case strategies to Chubb management. Excellent analytical, negotiation, writing, and oral advocacy skills are required. Skills should include litigation/arbitration strategy, drafting pleadings and motions, written discovery, taking and defending depositions, appearing before courts and/or arbitration panels, and participating in settlement meetings and mediations.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:Required level of legal experience is flexible, but candidates must have developed knowledge of insurance law and experience in coverage litigation and/or reinsurance. Bar admission required.
