**Work Schedule:** Days with Weekend and Holiday Rotation

**Hours:**

Monday-Friday 10am-6pm Saturday 11am-3pm

Summary:

In conjunction with the Manager of Pharmacy Operations, ensures compliance with the rules and regulations that govern the practice of Pharmacy within the oral and IV pharmacies and all extension services, such as Long Term Care. This position is considered the supervising pharmacist of record.

Responsibilities:

**EDUCATION**

* Graduate of an accredited college of Pharmacy required

* Professionally licensed in New York State required

* Current registration certificate to practice Pharmacy in New York State required

**EXPERIENCE**

* Demonstrated experience in long term care

* One (1) year management experience preferred

* Experience in program and service development, quality assurance, medication use indicator experience, and cost containment programs

* IV clinical experience preferred

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY**

* Ability to operate the following machinery such as: laminar flow hood, biological hood, compounding devices, computer systems, prescription balance, automated medication dispensing machines

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Strong supervisory skills

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Ability to convey information to department personnel in an understandable manner

* Ability to coordinate activities of multiple personnel

* Good manual dexterity

* Knowledge of math

* Computer skills

* Ability to lead Long Term Care Pharmacy staff

**WORKING CONDITIONS**

* Travel to various locations for meetings; work unusual hours, days and shifts to accommodate needs of the Pharmacy including on call

* Normal heat, light space, and safe working environment
