In this role you will join the operations team, developing and managing Chrysos’ global spare parts and consumables supply chain processes.

Your area of responsibility

  • Supporting and coordinating Chrysos’ global spare parts and consumables supply chain processes.
  • Contributing to a global spare parts strategy, including the development of a clear sourcing plan for critical parts.
  • Support of ESG plan for vetting and auditing providers 
  • Procurement - identifying and vetting new suppliers, as well as ordering using our spares management system. Including proactive management of supplier agreements.
  • Logistics - arranging freight, both import and export shipments, to ensure all items are available on site when required.
  • Effective planning using data analytics to set suitable reorder points and reorder quantities for all items. Including use of a global data dashboard for procurement and logistics reporting.
  • Undertake commissioning support as directed and required.
  • Maintaining accurate records of supplier details, part details, as well as stock levels and parts consumed at each location.
  • Contributing to achieving >90% availability of Photon Assay systems.
  • Attending sites across Americas for spares stocktakes and maintaining the accuracy of inventory records in our spares management system.
  • Coordinating contractors for the service and repair of compressors, air conditioners, and other sub-systems.
  • Coordination of radiation badges and radiation survey meters to include ordering, distributing, sending for measurement and recalibration.

Your contribution

  • Support the Procurement and Logistics team globally.
  • Maintain up to date communication of relevant requirements for site.
  • Provide support to local Procurement team – International Growth to ensure cross flow of information, continuity of operations and ongoing compliance with statutory and legal compliance.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis as required.
  • Have a voice for safety and use it.

Who you are.

  • Demonstrated experience in a procurement, logistics or purchasing officer role or similar.
  • Technical aptitude, for gaining a general understanding of the Photon Assay system and its parts.
  • Commercial aptitude, for ensuring optimal business outcomes, while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, colleagues, and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability in negotiation skills with strong customer service ethos.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, English
  • Familiarity with office productivity software such as SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Slack, and web-based tools including Monday.com.
  • Current Driver's license & Canadian working rights
  • Located in Vancouver BC, able and willing to travel and work within Americas, including at remote locations such as mine sites.
  • French / Spanish communication skills are an asset. 
  • US Procurement & logistics experience highly regarded.
