Position: Trauma Informed Care Coordinator

Position Summary:

Being a certified Trauma Informed Organization means Chrysalis’ organizational and clinical practices recognize the impact of toxic stress, histories of adversity, and trauma has on both staff and clients. The Trauma Informed Care Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the integration of the six principles of trauma informed care within all aspects of Chrysalis’ functions. This position also plans and facilitates Chrysalis's staff committees as well as trains staff how to counter the impact of stress and body arousal to prevent burnout and compassion fatigue. As a certified Trauma Informed agency, Chrysalis is dedicated to supporting and assisting employees to reach their professional goals by promoting a working environment that fosters opportunities for employee empowerment and growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Schedule internal and external training on Trauma Informed Care

· Ensure implementation of Trauma Informed Care principles within Chrysalis's staff committees.

· Work closely with Human Resources and Senior Leadership to ensure all employees, Board Members, and volunteer’s trauma training is up to date.

· Support managers in Trauma Informed Care Supervision by ensuring the use of trauma informed principles.

· Coordinate Trauma Informed project activities, resources, equipment, and information.

· Oversee the Trauma Informed Integration Log and complete all tasks and deliverables in a timely manner in connection with Chief Clinical Leader.

· Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management

· Gather and disseminate information about trauma informed best practices.

· Communicate with Arizona Trauma Institute as needed

· Be the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants

· Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports

· Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting necessary assessments and maintaining trauma related certifications.

· Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Core Competencies

· Ability to manage change with flexibility, compassion, and empowerment as the core motivators.

· Ability to interact and engage in positive relationships with supervisor, co-workers, clients, and community agencies.

· Ability to interact professionally and easily with donors, volunteers, staff, the public and the Chrysalis Board.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· Ability to maintain high standards for handling sensitive and confidential information.

Experience Requirements:

· Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.

· Comprehensive knowledge of Trauma Informed Care concepts

· Proficiency in MS Office and internet research

· Ability to function well in crisis situations.

· Knowledge of the community

· Knowledge of Domestic Abuse issues and their relation to trauma

Other Requirements:

She/he/they must provide own transportation and automobile insurance and have the ability to travel throughout the community; Must be able to pass a fingerprint and background clearance as required by Chrysalis and ADHS licensure requirements; must maintain current TB Testing, CPR and first aid training as required by Chrysalis policies; May be required to move equipment weighing up to 25 lbs and to ascend/descend stairs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
