Chronos Construction Staffing is Hiring an Electrical Superintendent Near Keswick, VA

Our client is looking for an experienced Electrical Superintendent. You will oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. Must have a complete understanding of all aspects and trades involved with installing or repairing commercial and industrial projects. Must be well organized, energetic, detail-oriented and a team player, able to handle a fast-paced job with deadlines. Full time position with benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of electrical project from planning to implementation
  • Oversee crews of 20
  • Allocate resources for assigned projects
  • Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
  • Interface and establish a professional rapport with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
  • Prepare for and participate in regular owners and/or architect meeting
  • Submit accurate and timely RFI’s
  • Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
  • Effectively work with the project team on all job specific issues.
  • Keep the Senior Project Manager advised of job status via written and verbal communication.
  • Create and distribute project schedules.
  • Work with the project team to update and analyze the project schedule on an ongoing basis.
  • Schedule and coordinate all subcontractors and material suppliers.
  • Monitor subcontractor manpower to ensure the schedule is being met.
  • Ensure all work is in compliance with specified quality standards.
  • Inspect subcontractor’s work for quality compliance.
  • Complete all required paperwork in a professional and timely manner.
  • Control and monitor all change orders in a timely manner.
  • Monitor all required submittals to ensure timeliness and compliance.
  • Monitor subcontractor time and material work as required.
  • Provide documentation as required.
  • Prepare/obtain as-built drawings.
  • Lead weekly progress meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Take and maintain weekly job progress photos.
  • Provide and maintain a safe work environment and clean jobsite.
  • Enforce all company, OSHA, and other applicable safety standards with subcontractors and employees.
  • Hold required weekly safety meetings
  • Provide timely and accurate documentation and reporting of safety issues
