The archaeological field director position will primarily provide support to our Fresno office but will also work other offices throughout California and the West Coast. The candidate will need to be able to work independently or as a part of a team of professionals. The candidate will be required lead crews on archaeological survey, archaeological testing, and archaeological data recovery projects and must be able to walk several miles daily, over all types of terrain, and be able to excavate in a variety of conditions. In addition to fieldwork duties, the candidate may be called upon to assist in the preparation of reports and assist senior staff. Travel to field projects is expected. Familiarity with the cultural history of California and knowledge of state and federal cultural resource regulations is a plus.

Hire Type: Full-time, hourly.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, weekend work depending on project needs.
