DescriptionAs a Manufacturing Engineer at CHROME HEARTS®, you will hold a pivotal role in the continuous refinement of manufacturing procedures, with a particular focus on optimizing CNC Machining, assembly operations, and the seamless integration of cutting-edge automation technology. Your profound expertise will be instrumental in spearheading initiatives to enhance processes, fine-tune robotic equipment, and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Enhancement & Management
  • Assume leadership over key manufacturing functions, including CNC Machining, assembly, and automation, to drive efficiency and elevate product quality.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of current manufacturing processes, exploring innovative methodologies to effect improvements.
Technology Integration & Automation
  • Seamlessly incorporate and optimize automated technologies within the manufacturing workflow.
  • Spearhead the initiation and fine-tuning of robotic production equipment.
  • Devise and implement strategic equipment layout plans to maximize facility efficiency.
Product Streamlining
  • Develop streamlined processes for the integration of new product SKUs into existing production machinery.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless introduction of new products and ongoing process enhancements.
Quality Control & Documentation
  • Establish a robust documentation system encompassing comprehensive work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that products consistently meet or exceed stringent quality standards.
Team Leadership & Collaborative Endeavors
  • Serve as a technical mentor and guide for manufacturing personnel.
  • Foster open channels of communication between manufacturing teams, supervisory staff, and external stakeholders as required.
Programming & System Integration
  • Design, author, and optimize CNC programs tailored for machining operations.
  • Lead the integration and continuous fine-tuning of comprehensive manufacturing systems, including automated machinery, software platforms, and data management systems.
Data-Driven Decision-Making
  • Harness data analytics, lean manufacturing principles, and other continuous improvement strategies to drive enhancements in manufacturing processes.
Maintenance & Safety Assurance
  • Institute a proactive preventative maintenance program to monitor equipment health and plan for timely end-of-life replacements.
  • Diligently enforce safety protocols to guarantee a secure working environment on the manufacturing floor.
RequirementsEducational & Professional Background
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience in manufacturing processes and automation. Candidates with relevant work experience from other engineering disciplines may also be considered.
Technical Expertise
  • Hands-on proficiency in CNC programming and operation.
  • Proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting automated machinery.
  • Advanced skills in CAD/CAM software and other industry-specific software tools.
Skills & Abilities
  • Exceptional mechanical aptitude with a profound understanding of manufacturing principles, encompassing cutting tool selection and fixture design.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical instructions across various formats, including written, oral, diagrams, and schedules.
  • Adept at reading and comprehending essential documents such as safety guidelines, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Cognitive & Interpersonal Traits
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective teamwork and leadership.
Physical Demands
  • The role encompasses both sedentary and active tasks. Employees must be prepared to stand for extended periods, sit occasionally, and move around as required.
  • Frequent hand, wrist, and arm movements are necessary, requiring high manual dexterity and focused visual attention.
  • Employees may occasionally need to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs and may be required to work at heights while adhering to OSHA-approved safety protocols.
