We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented person to join our team as an intellectul property legal assistant.
Some experience working in a law office is required. Experience with patent and trademark application filings and prosecution is preferred, but we will train the right candidate.
Duties include:
- Assisting attorneys in drafting legal documents, including patent and trademark application template completion, Office Action responses, copyright applications and agreements
- Organize and maintain electronic legal files and documents
- Schedule appointments and manage attorney calendars
- Prepare correspondence, memos, and other legal documents
- Communicate with clients and other parties involved in legal matters
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Be computer literate
- Be able to work to deadlines
- Have excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all documents
- Professional written and phone etiquette when communicating with clients and colleagues
- Be able to work in a team
- Have at least some law office experience
