Christopher's Reason is a substance use disorder facility that specializes in treating those who struggle with substance use disorder. We are a fully operating OASAS 822 Outpatient clinic located on the South Shore of Staten Island. We are equipped with a full medical, clinical, and peer support team. We are seeking a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC or a CASAC-T) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish, with familiarity and experience in the field of addiction with the ability to independently operate and manage a caseload of clients. The candidate for this position must be committed to giving every client the undivided attention and the support they need, and must be willing to work in a professional, yet casual work environment. We're looking for individuals with a genuine interest in addiction treatment who can work well in an open office setting and have the ability to quickly establish a rapport with clients. The role will consist of but not limited to conducting individual sessions, facilitating groups, attending weekly supervision, and participating in weekly case conferences. Ethical boundaries and standards are necessary, HIPAA confidentiality and professionalism is expected in this position. Please provide certificates/certifications and references along with your resume. Only credentialed counselors, bilingual in Spanish will be considered for this position. The salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

• Manage a caseload of individuals and complete required documentation.
• Complete intakes and assessments for potential clients.
• Provide updates and progress reports.
• Attend weekly case conferences.
• Maintains timely, accurate, and appropriate documentation.
• Groups planned, delivered, and documented in a timely and effective manner meeting the clients person centered goals for treatment.
• Knowledge of CBT and other appropriate brief therapies and interventions evident.
• Holds and maintains required certification(s) and completes required continuing education.
• Ability to work effectively with complex patients, both independently and collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team.

• Bilingual in Spanish.
