Christiana Care Health Systems is Hiring a Radiology Supervisor Operating Room Near Newark, DE

ChristianaCare is recruiting for a Radiology Section Supervisor for the Newark Operating Room to work full time, Day shift Monday -Friday. The work hours are 6:45 am - 3:15 pm; some on-call, weekends, and holidays per department guidelines.

We are searching for an experienced Radiology Supervisor or Radiology Tech who is ready to accelerate their career to the next level. The candidate selected for this role will provide leadership and mentorship to the technical staff. Assist in planning, coordinating, and leading departmental activities and personnel. Also, functions as a liaison between physicians, technologists, and support staff.

Responsibilities:

Direct supervision and oversight of technical staff and other radiology support staff.

Work as a site leader for offsite locations as needed.

Delegates duties and tasks to staff after assessment of capability and scope of responsibilities.

Maintains current imaging protocols across all locations.

Maintains exam scheduling efficiency within high-volume imaging centers.

Owns the maintenance of imaging and patient care equipment.

Ensures regulatory compliance safety and specifications of equipment. (ACR, MQSA, State Radiation Control)

Maintains ACR accreditations for all imaging equipment.

Prepares and ensures compliance with all Joint Commission standards for multiple locations.

Performs new employee and department orientations.

Works with vendors on new supplies and equipment needs.

Works with clinical engineering, equipment vendors, and physicists, to ensure the quality of imaging equipment.

Completes employee performance and disciplinary records.

Actively participates in the recruitment and hiring processes.

Works with the Operations Manager in completing performance evaluations and related human resources data, handles employee mentor and discipline as needed.

Handles issues relating to customer service and complaints (physician, nursing, patient), including grievance and service recovery.

Performs and participates in Performance Improvement initiatives.

Completes and maintains the technical staff's work, on-call, and vacation schedules.

Demonstrates skills and knowledge vital to providing care appropriate to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including knowledge of growth and development, the ability to acquire and interpret information to identify patient needs, and to provide the vital care needed.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • ARRT or RDMS certified.

  • Delaware State Licensure

  • Completion of Associate's Degree in Radiology.

  • Advanced Board Certification in CT and/or MRI when applicable.

  • An equivalent combination of education/experience may be substituted.

  • Minimum of 5 years of imaging experience.

  • CPR Certification.
