Christian & Small LLP is Hiring a Paralegal Near Birmingham, AL
- Coordinate, manage and organize all case files during all phases of the litigation process, and assist in trial preparation,
- Draft, prepare and file pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, subpoenas, and other litigation-based documentation,
- Prepare notices of depositions, deposition exhibits, and summarize depositions,
- Request and summarize medical records, and prepare medical chronologies,
- Review, organize and manage large document productions for responsiveness, applying necessary redactions, and finalizing for production,
- E-filing experience in all courts,
- Categorize, interpret, and summarize information and documents provided by clients, opposing counsel, and third parties.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Attention to detail and outstanding organizational ability to prioritize and complete high volume work and carry a large caseload,
- Strong knowledge of motions, e-discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures,
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, Outlook, e-discovery platforms, and document management software.
- A bachelor's degree, paralegal certification, or five years of experience as a litigation paralegal preferred,
- Experience in the practice areas of Business & Commercial Litigation, Construction, Healthcare, and Insurance Defense required.
