Christian Family Solutions is a faith-based, religious organization committed to our mission, healing and helping people in need through the ministry of Jesus Christ. As more and more people seek help with difficult issues, we want to be the counseling resource they turn to for hope, healing, and peace.

We are recruiting a part time Wellness Specialist to provide services through our School Based Partnership Program. This role has been created to support the growing mental health needs that are arising in the schools that we serve. This position does not provide clinical therapy, but instead focuses on case management duties and provides mental wellness in schools. Hours for this position are generally 8:00am-4:00pm, one day per week. 

Our School Based Partnership Program is a customized and comprehensive way for schools to assist in meeting the emotional or psychological needs of their students by providing them with convenient, affordable services. We are actively seeking individuals who are members of a WELS, ELS or confessional Lutheran church and have a strong desire to learn more about integrating Christian counseling practices based on these principles

What you will be doing

The Wellness Specialist will be responsible for providing mental health support to schools and students, facilitating psycho-educational groups, and assisting in case management duties at Hope Christian Academy.

Quality mental health delivered with integrity is the first commitment we make to our clients. Requirements

• Holds a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, or Master’s degree in a mental health related field.
• A high degree of responsibility in maintaining confidentiality in all matters pertaining to work.
• Physical and mental ability to carry out necessary responsibilities.
• Willing to uphold a biblical worldview in the clinical setting.
• Tactful, dependable, and courteous personality.
• Practice of ethical conduct.
• Ability to work cooperatively with WELS professional church workers as well as area resource people and agencies. 
• Active Member of a WELS or ELS or confessional Lutheran Church preferred.
• Ability and willingness to conduct all services and therapeutic activities from a Christian-based clinical theological perspective. 
• Responsible for following established employee safety rules and practices within the facility.
• Model Christian faith-based principals and behavior consistent with the beliefs and mission statement of WLCFS.
