Personal Care Aides

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily living, which include: bathing, dressing, assisting with oral hygiene, and toileting.
• Assist residents with personal hygiene needs such as brushing hair, cleaning and trimming fingernails, and shaving.
• Serving residents meals and assisting with clean up afterwards at times.
• Assist residents with transfers and ambulation per their support plan.
• Answering call bells promptly and providing assistance as requested.
• Monitors all assigned residents throughout the shift and notifies the Charge staff member or Administrator immediately of any change in conditions, concerns, injuries, or falls.
• Reviews resident support plans and provides appropriate care to each individual resident per their individualized plan.
• Perform all required daily charting prior to leaving at the end of each shift.
• Assists Charge Med Tech / LPN when needed to perform testing or Administer Medication ordered.
• Assist residents to prepare for test, x-rays, lab draws, therapy, and physicians visits.
• Assist with collecting specimens.
• Follows standard precautions, wears PPE per policies and guidelines.
• Communicates shift to shift report at the end of your shift.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to pass pre-hire requirements including: Criminal background check, drug screen and covid vaccination
• Previous work experience with older adults preferred but NOT NESSARY. CTKM OFFERS PAID ON THE JOB TRAINING.
