Job Summary:
Chris Auffenberg Ford in Washington, MO is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our team. This individual will be responsible for performing a variety of automotive maintenance and repair services on customer vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent diagnostic skills, and a passion for delivering top-quality service.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, hourly position in the Auto industry that offers a competitive salary based on experience. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as paid time off and a 401(k) retirement plan.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and tune-ups
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and computer systems on vehicles
- Perform inspections and recommend necessary repairs or replacements
- Use diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and identify vehicle issues
- Keep accurate records of all service and repair work performed
- Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and customers regarding vehicle status and recommended services
- Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through manufacturer training programs
- Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Automotive Service Technician
- ASE certifications preferred
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and instructions
- Good time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must have a full set of tools and tool box
- Must be able to work full-time hours, including some weekends and evenings
